Was promised by staff, Les, in front of others that I would receive a call back for sure as he "always does that out of respect". Didn't hear back for 2 weeks. I tried to call to follow up. A man answered the phone with "Ya?" I said, "ummm, is this Commissionaires?" He said "you called me". I said "usually professional businesses answer their phone with the companies name, like a business, not like your personal phone". Why is this person allowed to be answering the phone if he doesnt know how??? It does seem that after reading the comments here they're just generally not very professional or are inconsistent in their abilities to communicate effectively.

I went to the Commissionaires office in Calgary to get my fingerprints taken and had a very positive experience. The building is nice, with easy access and convenient parking. The entrance and waiting area are pleasant and welcoming. I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. The staff were friendly, professional, and made the whole process smooth. A very pleasant and well-run agency — I couldn’t ask for more.

This company is now done for; there used to be a diverse hiring/recruiting team, now there is two you know who running the show. Forget about getting a job here unless you are one of them. Losing the 2018 airport contract didn't teach them a lesson.

No entiendo porque en la web ponen citas walking disponibles en horario de oficina, si cuando uno llega desde la persona del desk esta con mala cara y niega que tengan walking, cuando le mostré lo que decía en la pagina me dijo que si tenía tiempo me sentará a esperar, me senté y espere que pasara la gente en orden de llegada, se suponía que era mi turno, y llego más gente con cita y los hicieron pasar sin decirme nada, si tenía que esperar más o no, simplemente como si mi tiempo no valiera, lo peor es que ya he ido antes y si me han atendido walking. Muy malo el servicio, si tienen problemas con gente de otros países pues entonces dejen una sede para esto y atiendan solo las personas que les interesan, los demás podemos ir a otro lado, me sentí totalmente discriminada!

I tried to look online for pricing before I called and wasn't finding the info I was looking for. I didn't find the website intuitive; you have to click "Request Appointment" and enter a postal code to see pricing, but unless you know that's how to find pricing you wouldn't expect it (first time I've ever looked into this service). I called to get the info I was looking for and a rude staff member told me to go look online, I said I did that first before calling but wasn't finding what I was looking for, she told me it's on the website, I said I didn't find it, after that back and forth a couple times she finally told me the steps to follow. I had stopped short of entering my postal code, so that was the missing step, then I was able to view pricing. I called 3 other businesses which were all able to provide the information I was looking for quickly and pleasantly. Why was this staff member set on being unhelpful? I took my business elsewhere.

AWFUL SERVICE… wow, the guy with the big beard greeted me then walked in the back and never actually came back to confirm whether I would be seen. They don’t bother to answer their phones after I tried calling multiple times before showing up. This is what happens when you give an agency a monopoly on some sort of service without any competition. Two thumbs way down!!
